Nicola graduated from Glasgow University in 1999. After spending a couple of years in Australia and New Zealand, with an introduction to retrieval at Christchurch hospital, NZ, she completed her EM training in the West of Scotland in 2009.

She was one of the first WOS registrars to complete an EMRS fellowship in the fledgling service in 2006 and has been a consultant for EMRS/Scotstar since 2010. For the first ten years she was responsible for recruitment of registrars, training and educational supervision and created Scotlands only PHEM training post.  She is currently liaison consultant for the Isle of Mull.

When not at work, Nicola likes to ride road and gravel bikes, walk the dogs and swim.
