David saxby

advanced Retrieval Practitioner

David graduated as a paramedic in 2007 and worked for East Midlands Ambulance Service in a variety of clinical, education and clinical leadership roles, the last one being as a Clinical Improvement Lead. David has pursued his interests in pre-hospital critical care and retrieval medicine and joined EMRS in 2019. 

David enjoys the variety of the role as well as the challenges and opportunities associated with working in retrieval medicine. David has a BSc (hons) in Paramedic Science, MSc in Health and Social Care Leadership, PG Dip in Advanced Practice, and the Dip IMC RCSEd. He is an associate lecturer at Robert Gordon University and teaches on ALS courses. 

Outside of work David enjoys climbing, running, cycling, and spending time in the mountains.
